Kate Hadfield graduated from the University of Calgary in 2008 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences. After a brief year off that included volunteering on organic farms in British Columbia and running her first 10K race, she started studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto. While there, Kate was very active in promoting women’s health issues on campus. In 2012 she organized the annual Women’s Health Week and later performed in the school’s production of Body Monologues. In her clinical year, Kate was selected for the pediatric specialty shift and was president of the school’s volunteer doula club.
Upon graduation, Kate started practice at Vive Integrative Health Clinic in Calgary, focusing on pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, birth, paediatrics and women’s health. She has received additional training in Naturopathic Doula Certification, DONA Birth Doula Education, International Lactation Consultant Education, IV Nutrient Therapy and Holistic Pelvic Care.
Kate is licensed to practice in Alberta under the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA). She is also an active member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and the Calgary Doula Association.
