Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS)

The EPDS was designed to identify women who may have postpartum depression. At Naturopathic Pediatrics we recommend screening mothers at their child’s 2 month and 6 month visits, with additional screenings for women who scored 8 or higher at 4 month and 12 month visits. Probable postpartum depression is 10 and higher.
